Most speakers in this area are compensated for selling products.  This workshop is advice without an agenda from someone who knows the industry as few do.

The investerati has convinced the public that if you save a few extra dollars or come into some money, that you need to 'invest' it in the stock market.  This is simply not true, there is nothing wrong with a nice safe CD at your local bank or paying off your mortgage sooner - the tax benefit is pitiful anyway. 

Having said that, if you have decided to invest, do yourself a favor and invest on your own.  You can manage your own money, save a fortune and yes, you have the time.
